These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the PG Manager web application and related services (the "Platform"). The Platform is designed to help PG/hostel owners manage properties, tenants, rooms, beds, payments and expenses.
By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.
1. Definitions
- "Platform" – The PG Manager website / web app and all its features.
- "Owner" – A PG/hostel/property owner or manager using PG Manager.
- "Tenant" – A person staying at a property managed via PG Manager.
- "Account" – A registered user profile on PG Manager.
- "Property" – Any PG, hostel, room, bed or unit configured in the system.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to use the Platform. By creating an Account, you confirm that the information you provide is true, accurate and complete.
3. Role of PG Manager
- PG Manager is a software tool that helps you store and manage your PG data.
- PG Manager does not own, operate or control any PG/hostel properties.
- Any rental, deposit, or stay agreement is strictly between the Owner and Tenant.
- PG Manager is not a party to any rental/lease/license or payment agreement.
4. User Accounts
- You are responsible for keeping your login ID and password confidential.
- All activity performed from your Account is deemed to be done by you.
- You agree to notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
- We may suspend or terminate Accounts that violate these Terms or misuse the Platform.
5. Property & Tenant Data
- Owners are solely responsible for the accuracy of property, room, bed and tenant details entered.
- PG Manager does not verify the correctness of entries like rent, due dates, ID proofs, or documents.
- Tenants should directly confirm all terms, rules and charges with the Owner.
6. Payments, Dues & Accounting
If PG Manager is used to record or track payments, you acknowledge that:
- All amounts (rent, deposits, fines, food charges, etc.) are decided by the Owner, not by PG Manager.
- PG Manager may show you reports and summaries based on data you enter, but these are for information only.
- Any disputes regarding amounts, overcharges, refunds or settlements are between Owner and Tenant.
7. Deposits, Notice Period & Refunds
- Each Owner decides their own rules for security deposit, notice period, and refund policy.
- PG Manager may provide fields to save these, but does not enforce or guarantee them.
- Tenants should understand and agree to these terms directly with the Owner before check-in.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Platform for any illegal, fraudulent or harmful activities.
- Upload or distribute malware, spam or harmful content.
- Harass, abuse or harm any other user or person.
- Attempt to hack, bypass security or access other users’ data.
- Copy, resell or exploit the Platform without written permission.
9. Data & Privacy
PG Manager may store information such as Owners’ and Tenants’ names, contact details, IDs, transactions, and usage logs solely to provide PG management features.
We aim to protect your data with reasonable technical and organizational measures, but no system is 100% secure. You are responsible for using strong passwords and safeguarding access to your Account.
10. Intellectual Property
- The software, design, logo, and overall Platform are owned by the PG Manager creators or licensors.
- You are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to use the Platform for managing PG operations.
- You may not reverse engineer, modify, or create derivative works from the Platform.
11. Availability & Changes
- We strive to keep the Platform available and running smoothly, but uptime is not guaranteed.
- Features may be added, changed, or removed at any time to improve the product.
- We may temporarily suspend access for maintenance, updates or security reasons.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without any warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that:
- The Platform will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted.
- Any data, reports or calculations will be accurate or complete.
- The Platform will meet all of your specific business or legal requirements.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PG Manager, its owners and team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill arising from:
- Your use of or inability to use the Platform;
- Any dispute between Owner and Tenant;
- Errors or omissions in data entered into the Platform;
- Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PG Manager, its owners and employees from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities and expenses arising from:
- Your use of the Platform;
- Your breach of these Terms;
- Your violation of any law or third-party rights.
15. Termination
- We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time for misconduct, misuse or legal reasons.
- You may stop using the Platform at any time. Some data may be retained as required by law or for backup.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The revised Terms will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Platform after any change means you accept the new Terms.
17. Governing Law
These Terms will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable in your jurisdiction, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes should first be attempted to be resolved amicably.
